Brendan burns aka Beast started breaking in belfast Northern Ireland in 1996, and has been competing at some of the classic events all around the world for over 20 years.

He is an active member of the Western Australian based crew ZOU ROCK CREW who regularly competed in Australian and major international competitions.

As a crew they currently organise and support all West Australian breaking events including the WA junior BREAKIN championship which promotes young dancers to get involved with positive hip hop culture.

Brendan regularly travels to remote communities in the pilbraha and South West to teach and perform with kids from all backgrounds of Australian life.

Currently Brendan is a full-time breaking teacher working 6 days a week in private dance studios and in public schools as part of his breakin traditions program.

In 2012 Brendan developed the idea of combining his experience and discipline as a martial artist to the coaching of large numbers of breakin students while keeping the traditions of 1 on 1 teacher student learning.

The program is called "BREAKIN' TRADITIONS" and operates at 9 locations throughout west Australia.

Breakin' Traditions aims to teach bboys and bgirls with an emphasis on respect, safety and most importantly FUN! learning the ins and outs as well as grooves, steps and freezes in a vibrant, upbeat and energetic environment.

In addition to this, the program brings together students of breakin across all the West Australian locations in events throughout the year where students will get to represent their schools/crew in a series of battles and performances.
